We grew from four families to 16 then 20 up to 30 and are up to 1362 meals served thus far (05.03.20).  What started as a need for saving food from waste, has churned into much, much more. We are paying it forward in our neighborhood in Boca Raton, families from Highland Beach, Lighthouse Point, Cypress Creek and Pompano Beach, consisting of first responders on the medical field with local nurses and doctors in our neighborhood as well as direct with Broward Health North Hospital, firefighters and mail men. We have been able to share meals with people in our community impacted by the Covid Situation, from people affected financially to cancer patients who cannot risk going to markets, etc. The inspiration for this is to serve those who sacrifice and are on the front lines, and to those who need kindness to keep the light at the end of the tunnel.

During Quarantine 2020

Our Goal: to share 1500 meals in our community

I am Chef Keith Clifford, I have been in the Hospitality/Service industry since 1984 working my way through restaurants, hotels and the private sector. For the last 25 years I have been in the yachting and personal chef business. I have had the great fortune of having my passion for cooking and helping people take me around the world; and more so, the pleasure of learning cultures and what healing power, food and kindness have.

During this time of Covid-19 crisis there are countless people affected in the hospitality and so many other industries, out of work and struggling to put food on the table. I am, like many others, that have been displaced temporarily, until things turn-around.

On March 26th, a friend and neighbor who is with the local restaurant Sub-Culture Group that had to close many locations pulled up to my house with a truckload of food- “Can you use any of this? We will lose it otherwise”. “Absolutely”, I said and immediately started cooking. We (my wife Cristina and I) were able to feed four families that first day, then another delivery came and another. And this is how it all started...

Huge shout out to Jay from R.L. Schreiber!

I have been a fan of their spices since I started cooking in the 1980’s. Founded in Florida this family run business has been the best in spices and I was fortunate to have learned on their products.

April 14th, we received a generous donation from them to help us keep sharing. I’m happily bout to marinate the chicken for tomorrow’s meal. Thank you R. L. Schreiber!

A note from a nurse:

“Keith, After returning home from the hospital today, I felt like crying. And then the doorbell rang. I wanted to cry with gratitude. Thank you Elizabeth"

Have you tried one of our meals?
